Protex® is a high performance inherently flame-resistant self -extinguishing modacrylic fiber developed by KANEKA Japan. The inherent FR properties will not be washed or worn out. FR apparel made of Protex® blend fabric offers superior comfort as it is soft and offers very effective moisture management properties which improve air-permeability and sweat absorbency. The fiber is also chemically resistant to acids & alkalis. Protex® is a good lower-cost alternative to other inherent FR fabric. It is tested to EN ISO 11612 standard.
